Description

Chloranthus holostegius (Chloranthaceae), a perennial herb, is widely distributed in the southern part of mainland China. In Guangxi and Guizhou provinces, it was used as a folk anti-inflammatory medicine for treatment of rheumatic arthritis and bacillary dysentery. Six sesquiterpene dimers were obtained from the aerial parts of C. holostegius.
