Description

Broussonetia papyrifera (Paper mulberry, 2n = 2x = 26) is an ecologically, economically, and medicinally important plant with features such as fast growth, ease of breeding, strong tillering ability, and pruning resistance. Fruit contains saponin, vitamin B and oil. Seed contains soil which contains unsaponifiable matters, saturated fatty acid, oleic acid, and linolerc acid. It is used for consumptive disease, blurred vision, corneal opacity, beriberi and puffiness.
